Afraid

I see the climate change,
I see fundamentalism grow,
and I am afraid.
I see people suffering,
I see children dying,
and I am afraid.
I see empty speeches,
I see nice images thrown around like wrapping paper.

I am afraid.

We are being fed information, but no truth. The "powerful ones" are moving around a lot but none is going forward.

I am afraid.

My fear is that nothing is done, and there might not even be anything to do.
In the end I am so afraid that I shut my eyes and pretend not to see.
