"The Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society" by Mary Ann Schafer and Annie Barrows is a great book, which I don't know enough praise to qualify.
I've never been much into epistolary novels but like Elizabeth Gilbert said "treat yourself to this book". It will indeed appeal to all book lovers, bookworms and rats de bibliothèque, as it makes reading one of the deepest and most beautiful activities you could find.
This book will make you go from tears to laughter and back again, telling you stories of the occupation, mixed up with every day anecdotes.
Well written and touching, I hope you'll enjoy it.
